I became a yoga student over 25 years ago when my children were young. Always interested in fitness and a gymnast in my younger years - a very long time ago - I was determined to stay strong & agile. I became a teacher because I feel so passionate about the physical and mental benefits of this incredible practice. Having yoga in my life is a gift. It's absorbing, energising, empowering and mentally revitalising.

The key principles that underpin my yoga teachings are simple. Personal, fun, impactful and creative, designed to enhance your life.

We are all unique. From our anatomical make up to the physical impacts from sporting endeavours or simply our day to day life. One to one sessions enable me to develop a programme to support you to be the best condition you can be.

ADAPT & MODIFY

Biomechanics and its application is incredibly useful to help target, build & strengthen specific areas. 
Using a myriad of props & adapting yoga poses & sometimes even creating new ones enable you to build resilience and flexibility at your own pace.

As a relative novice to yoga, I always felt very at ease and relaxed during Aileen’s sessions. She explains what to expect from the session at the start, and the benefits behind the different poses, and always offers alternative options of certain moves which might be trickier for those of us who are less experienced/flexible. The hour absolutely flies by and I always came out of it feeling renewed.

I am not very good at yoga, I get extremely self-conscious and fall over, thus negatively impacting my zen. Yoga with Aileen was different, her classes are inclusive starting simply and allowing me to build my confidence, relax and ultimately remain in pose longer than I normally can.  Aileen ran weekly lunchtime sessions for us during lockdown.  Our employees thoroughly enjoyed their time with her, Aileen was quick to tell us what adjustments we needed to make to suit our own personal abilities.  So many people reported back afterwards to say how they had benefitted from the sessions. The classes were easy to access through Zoom and I would thoroughly recommend Aileen as an instructor for anyone who wants to learn about yoga and improve their fitness.
